Branching out and grooving on

Mr Flying White Dots seems to have come back from the Isle of Wight wearing his dancing trousers and has been having some fun mixing cosmic disco music. There's a mix you can listen to here, and plenty more to come. He used to play discoey stuff back in the late 90s, and has been recently experimenting with re editing tracks. The results, although unfinished, sound quite promising so far. Watch this space, or indeed this one.

Sep 2010 - Best Bestival ever!!! As well as experiencing mindblowing sets from the Flaming Lips, Jonsi, Flying Lotus and Plastikman among others, Mr FWD got to shake hands with disco legend Nile Rodgers. Not only that, he closed the Wishing Tree stage on the Sunday night with his most fun gig ever. Thanks to all those who came along, especially to those who smiled, grooved, chanted, waved your arms and sang along. You were wonderful. Although there is no public recording of this performance, you can listen to last year's full two hour cosmic journey here, in glorious 320kbps.

No new Flying White Dots album in 2010

Sorry folks! Some of you may have heard that Bryan sustained a very nasty hand injury whilst on holiday in Cambodia in November 2009. If you didn't, he cut his hand on a whisky bottle very badly and cut tendons and nerves. Eeek! It looked at one point as though there would be no more music, DJing or anything. Fortunately now Bryan can use his hand almost as well as before but can't fully bend his middle finger. Still gonna be a couple of years for the nerves to heal properly too. Due to this massive setback, there will be no new album in 2010. Hope you understand! There should be one sometime in 2011.
